Dentistry

We use state-of-the-art dental equipment, just like human dentists use!

Oral care isn’t just about bad doggie or kitty breath. Dental disease can be difficult for owners to recognize. Periodontal disease can cause heart, kidney, and liver complications as well as chronic infection, pain, tooth loss, and even weight loss. Most pets will need a dental cleaning by age 7, but small breed dogs, especially pug-nosed breeds, may need their teeth cleaned as early as 1 year of age. If you have concerns about your pet’s teeth or if you’re noticing bad breath, yellow-brown crust on the teeth, bleeding gums or a change in your pet’s eating or chewing habits, see your veterinarian and tell them the symptoms you are seeing. Your veterinarian will be able to tell you if your pet needs a dental cleaning and will set up a cleaning and/or brushing schedule.
